Feb 2012 - National Children's Dental Health Month

Each February, the American Dental Association (ADA) sponsors National Children's Dental Health Month to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. NCDHM messages and materials have reached millions of people in communities across the country.  Developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits helps children get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.

Why is age 7 considered the optimal time for orthodontic screening? By the age of 7, the first adult molars erupt, establishing the back bite. During this time, Dr. Chenin can evaluate front-to-back and side-to-side tooth relationships. For example, the presence of erupting incisors can indicate possible overbite, open bite, crowding or gummy smiles. Timely screening increases the chances for an incredible smile.

2011 Annual Patient Appreciation Party!

Each year we take the opportunity to thank our patients, families, friends, for their support.  We invite dental professionals and their families from other offices to be a part of this fabulous event each year so they can enjoy the fun with their patients as well.  We have made it a tradition to have a themed party near the end of the school year to celebrate.  This past year we a 1980’s Rock and Roll Themed Ice Skating Party!!!  It was a like a blast from the past.  Dr. Steve dressed us as a Punk Rocker and Dr. Dave dressed as Michael Jackson’s Thriller.  With a hundreds of friends and family that came dressed up, we enjoyed food and drinks with hot chocolate, cupcakes, and other treats.  There were tons of great raffle prizes and everyone was surprised with winning extra Chenin Change!!!!
